This blog is about the challenges we face as volunteer managers. While enjoying all the sites that give good advice about how to recruit, retain and work with volunteers, I think we also need a place to blow off steam, commiserate with one another, laugh, shake our heads and realize that we are not alone in this profession. It is hard to work with volunteers, clients, staff and administration. Often we walk a tightrope between them all. Too often, we take the blame or we don’t stand up for ourselves. Here we can say what is really on our minds as long as it is clean and not harmful. I hope you can relate to these posts and I encourage you to comment.
